gah i’m bad at communicating with people. i really want to make the effort to stay in touch with people though.

As I briefly mentioned on my twitter line, I got very excited on thursday when i got to have an outside conversation with my internship supervisor Manny Camargo, when I decided to do my independent study project with the Lawyer’s Committee for Better Housing. Namely, I’m going to be looking into a progressive way to increase workplace efficiency— especially the way they deal with their documents. I’ve been trying to move around the company, getting a good look at each of its departments and daily dealings, and this project will be a great way of consolidating the range of things that i’ve been doing and learning

I hope that Halloween weekend has been good for everyone. I’ve decided a while ago that halloween was the best holiday, and that it wasn’t even close. I’ve been going all out for halloween ever since.

Tonight I just got back from a Dan Deacon concert. CC folk may remember him from the shit show at ice age. He is known for his crowd participation games, and for his crazy dance shows. It was a great show, and I got very sweaty in a gorilla suit I wore. But, first time crowd surfing was brilliant. Now that it’s out of my system i never have to crowd surf again. Our groups’ heads got landed on by a surfer come back to earth and kinda did some damage. That’s when I decided I didn’t want to be an ass like that guy.

I’m going to take the gorilla out to the halloween parade tomorrow. Then roll from there. Fun.

Another update to come. I’m about to finish Obama’s book, finally, even as the ending has dragged fo evah, i’m about to get to it. So I’m excited about that. I’ve been putting some effort into Faulkner’s Sound and the Fury, and I’m ready to focus up on it more. It’s very good, but I’ve found that I need something of a rhythm to even follow along with.

And I think that Quentin’s musings on time are beautiful… I felt like I’ve had those exact musings myself..
