Weekend

And thank goodness for the weekend! These weeks really do take something of a toll— mainly because it is such a hassle to go out to Logan Square or to Canterbury and just see one another, such a special occasion is often relegated to the weekends. And this weekend came with great timing— i made all sorts of plans to accomplish, places to see, events to be at this weekend. Mostly because I still have some notion of continuing to ‘enjoy and relish the unique nature of chicago’ or something. Whatever, today was saturday and i slept on a couch. and it was fantastic. Just me, alone, making some phone calls but not really. Browsing the internet but not really. Just me.

And all that ended up being in preparation for meeting good oes friend Monica Scheer, who attends Northwestern University only an hour and a half ish away from where I live. Monica has just finished taking the vaunted LSATs, and that makes me terrified that my friends are already taking classes like that.

Does that mean that I should take a class like that too? I’m not sure about this, but I feel the inadvertent peer pressure all the same. Is this going to repeat itself when I’m with a girl and all her friends are getting married? Probably yes, probably exactly the same thing.

Monica was great. We enjoyed the BYOB merits of the sushi place we went to— as well as the sushi merits as well. Sashimi combinations are now what I crave. Just give me the fish as straight up as you can make it. I love sushi. Somewhat explicably connected, I love Portland. Mostly for it’s sushi.
